Tees Valley Unlimited, LEP, ESIF and Growth Fund Workshop programme

Because of our work:

Tees Valley Unlimited developed a series of thematic objectives to underpin its bid to for ERDF and ESF funding and had £90m of Local Growth Funding approved.

Stage one: Developing thematic objectives for ESIF Strategy

Tees Valley Unlimited had to quickly develop a series of thematic objectives to support its bids for ERDF and ESF funding.  Hall Aitken delivered 20 workshops in two intensive programmes that helped TVU to progress and prioritise its strategy.

Stage two: Engaging stakeholders

TVU had to engage with many stakeholders across a broad range of themes.  Partners scrutinised and discussed objectives before agreeing on a set of priority interventions agreed.

Stage three: Workshops and reports

Each workshop was designed to be as interactive as possible to ensure that partners could contribute and exchange ideas.  The tight timetable enabled participants and clients to build a productive momentum and this energy is reflected in a set of highly-focused thematic papers.

Stage four: Funding obtained

The workshop programme resulted in a concise and punchy report detailing the priorities for intervention and funding that are reflected in the current delivery strategy. £90m of Local Growth funding was approved on the back of this work.

“We were very pleased with the way the workshops ran, how they engaged a wide number of stakeholders in an interactive way and how the sessions produced tangible results to inform our strategy in what was a very challenging timescale.”
